It's Friday. Whew.

This week was a marathon-

Three days of customer meetings in Texas.  Two of those days started at 4 am (flying out and returning).  The middle day started sensibly, but ended with us at the hockey game.

I got back to Boston, only to find that all of the highway on-ramps going north from the airport were closed. Since Boston was designed for cows and not cars, the backup plan involved an hour and a half of twisty one-way roads, jammed with traffic, before I got out of the city. The upside- I said 'to heck with this' and stopped at a terrific little diner for lunch instead of going home to scrounge leftovers (this was a good plan as it turns out my husband had thoroughly depleted the leftovers in my absence!)

Thursday, work had a pile of new customer complaints waiting for me. Bleh.

The final in my Java class was last night. Lengthy, but I'm sure it was fine- one of the neat things about computer tests is that I can test all my answers in the development environment before turning them in! I've definitely decided to go on take another class starting in Jan, though I'm not sure how much more I'll do after that.

And, it's not like I don't have stuff to do this weekend. I need to file registration paperwork for the January class, I need to start on my work computer projects (principally intalling MySequel and Tomcat on my laptop, and starting to play with them), we're assembling the last wall mounted bookcase, we're visiting a relation a couple of hours away, we're going to see James Keelaghan tomorrow. And don't even ask about Christmas! I've started shopping, that's about the extent of it.

However, progress is being made.

I'm just glad to be getting a couple of days off work.  And I've had an idea that may start unsticking the next segment of Setting Up House, which would be nice, because I've had several people ask about it in the last couple of weeks.  And it's been way too long since I've posted any fic!
